Dallas Works is a comprehensive workforce development initiative spearheaded by Dallas Mayor Eric L. Johnson. Since its inception, Dallas Works has provided valuable internship experiences to hundreds of young people, equipping them with the skills and confidence to succeed in the workforce.

Our new collaboration with the nonprofit All Stars Project, Inc. (ASP) aims to enhance the program’s impact, offering innovative development opportunities through performance-based programming. ASP’s expertise in youth development, combined with its successful public-private partnership model, will be instrumental in shaping the program and our efforts to establish Dallas as a leader in providing effective and impactful summer internships for young people. “Dallas Works is about unlocking the full potential of our city’s young people and setting them on a path to success. By partnering with the All Stars Project and our business community, we can create a best-in-class internship program that benefits both our youth and our economy. Having grown up in southern Dallas myself, I’m excited to see the transformative impact this initiative will have in our city’s underserved neighborhoods.”

Through Dallas Works, young adults will participate in developmental, career-focused learning opportunities, training, and recruitment events. The program will place over 100 young people from underserved communities in paid internships with corporations and nonprofits, providing youth with invaluable work experience and skills. The program will prioritize quality, impact, recruitment of internship sponsors, unparalleled support to corporate partners and a robust, transparent feedback loop to ensure continuous improvement and growth.

We invite businesses and organizations to join the Dallas Works partnership and invest in the city’s future. By providing internships, mentorship, and support, partners can play a pivotal role in shaping the next generation of leaders and strengthening the local workforce.

“The All Stars Project is proud to collaborate with Dallas Mayor Eric L. Johnson on this visionary initiative. It is an honor to serve the City of Dallas by leading this program and leveraging the existing incredible workforce resources of some of the city’s leading nonprofits and educational institutions. Our decades of grassroots experience and research-backed approach to youth development make us uniquely equipped to help Dallas Works succeed. Together, we can create a model to prepare young people for the workforce and beyond.”
