These are free workshops for Dallas area youth aged 16-21. Workshops take place on-site at local businesses, high school and college campuses, and more! Register for workshops that cover 3 career ready pathways and skillsets: Professionalism & Vocational Competence, Communication & Confidence, Open Worldview & Inclusion. Upon completion of workshops, participants are eligible to earn digital badges to show off what they’ve learned on social media and to future employers.
During the pilot program, Dallas Works targeted outreach at 3 education institutions: Dallas College, Dallas ISD, and UNT at Dallas.
Recruitment for Dallas Works in 2025 closed during Spring Break. We are no longer accepting students into the Dallas Works cohort. We hope to have more opportunities for young people in 2026.

Professionalism and Vocational Competence Workshops: These form a foundation for your life in the professional world. You will learn how to put your best foot forward from first impressions throughout developing your professional brand!
Communication and Confidence Workshops: New, professional environments can be intimidating. Learn how to grow in your role as a young professional and get comfortable with being a little uncomfortable.
Open Worldview and Inclusion Workshops: These workshops will teach you how to be a leader and appreciate the power that different voices and backgrounds bring to Dallas now, and for the future we create.
