Dallas Works Intern Sponsor:

Hire a Dallas Youth for a leadership development internship.
  • Type of work for students: Leadership development internship where youth receive valuable insight, experience, and mentorship to your industry.
  • Minimum pay: $10 an hour
  • Intern: High school student (grades 10-11)/Youth who lives in the City of Dallas. They will receive 40 hours of workforce readiness training (interview practice, resume building, etc.)
  • Process: Use the Dallas Works system to review candidates, attend the Dallas Works job fair, conduct interviews, and hire interns.
  • Hiring Selections: Submit hiring selections to Dallas Works by June 4th, 2022.
  • Evaluations: Provide students/youth with work evaluations at mid-summer and end of internship.
  • Program Evaluations: Complete a quick Dallas Works end-of-summer program evaluation.
  • Celebratory Event: Attendance Requested.
  • Website: Your logo will be placed on the Dallas Works website. Your company will be included in all press releases and have access to all Dallas Works opportunities.
  • Program Fee: $500 per student intern.

Dallas Works Non-Profit / Company Intern Sponsor:

Sponsor an intern to work at a non-profit of your choice.
  • Type of work for youth at a non-profit: Leadership development internship where youth receive valuable insight, experience, and mentorship to your industry.
  • Minimum pay: $10 an hour
  • Intern: High school student (grades 10-11)/Youth who lives in the City of Dallas. Students will receive 40 hours of workforce readiness training.
  • Process: The Dallas non-profit will use the Dallas Works system to review candidates, attend the Dallas Works job fair, conduct interviews, and hire interns.
  • Hiring Selections: The Dallas non-profit will submit hiring selections to Dallas Works by April 20th, 2022.
  • Evaluations: The Dallas non-profit will provide youth with work evaluations at mid-summer and end of internship.
  • Program Evaluations: The Dallas non-profit will complete a quick Dallas Works end-of-summer program evaluation.
  • Celebratory Event: Attendance Requested.
  • Website: Your logo will be placed on the Dallas Works website. Your company will be included in all press releases and have access to all Dallas Works opportunities.
  • Program Fee: $500 per student intern plus the salary / benefit costs for the student.

Dallas Works Affiliate Partner:

Hire a Dallas High School Student (Grades 9-12) or Youth for Summer 2022. Companies will hire on their own.
  • Type of work for students: summer jobs or internships.
  • Minimum pay: $7.25 an hour or up to the discretion of the employer.
  • Student/Youth: High school student (grades 9-12)/Youth who lives in the City of Dallas. Students will have the option to participate in four hours of workforce readiness training.
  • Process: Companies will recruit, interview, and hire. HR/Hiring Manager will complete our form letting us know how many youth you are employing and a general description of job.
  • Hiring Selections: Submit hiring selections to Dallas Works by June 1st, 2022.
  • Evaluations: Provide students with work evaluations at mid-summer and end of summer.
  • Program Evaluations: Hiring Manager/HR will complete a quick Dallas Works end-of-summer program evaluation.
  • Celebratory Event: Attendance Requested.

  • Process: Use the Dallas Works system to review candidates, attend the Dallas Works job fair, conduct interviews, and hire interns.
  • Hiring Selections: Submit hiring selections to Dallas Works by May 4th, 2024.
  • Evaluations: Provide students/youth with work evaluations at mid-summer and end of internship.
  • Program Evaluations: Complete a quick Dallas Works end-of-summer program evaluation.
  • Celebratory Event: Attendance Requested.
  • Website: Your logo will be placed on the Dallas Works website. Your company will be included in all press releases and have access to all Dallas Works opportunities.
  • Program Fee: $500 per student intern plus intern hourly salary, minimum of $10/hour, to be handled and process internally and directly with the intern.
